Welcome and thank you for visiting the Burnsville Fire Muster.
The Burnsville Fire Muster is one of the great community festivals in the Upper Midwest, drawing more than 18,000 guests over a 4-day run in early September.
Our mission is simple. We strive to “bring the community of Burnsville together.” With that in mind, we have dozens of events, activities and demonstrations planned to entertain everyone from small children to seniors.
Last year we experienced record attendance while celebrating the 50th birthday of our host city, Burnsville. We continue to add new events, sponsors and entertainment to make the 2015 Burnsville Fire Muster even better for you and your family.
Below you will find a listing of some of our key events along with some details to assist in your planning and attendence.

We are combining the Fire Truck Parade and the Community Parade together this year.
Parade begins at 11:00 am. Note that the Fire Truck Parade no long runs along 134th or Parkwood. View both the
Fire Truck Parade and Community Parade anywhere along 130th Street between Parkwood and Nicollet. Or along Nicollet from 130th to Civic Center Drive and into the Fire Muster Grounds
A map of the parade route can be found under the Parade Tab on this site.
FOR UNITS PARTICIPATING IN THE PARADE, the unit lineup areas will be different this year. You will need to follow the instructions or you might get stuck. You will be able to start lining up at 10am. We need to be in position by 11:00am.
Units 1-34: Please enter off County Road 11 and line up along 130th.
Units 35+: Please enter off Burnsville Parkway and line up along Parkwood.
The parade will end on the grounds at the Burnsville Ice Arena. You will be lead through Civic Center Drive and out onto 134th with limited time to drop off on the grounds. There is NOT a place to stop and drop off so be aware you will be asked to continue on. We only have one lane to move all parade units through.
A great meeting place would be the Nicollet Jr High or Sky Oaks Elementary. There will be plenty of room to unload and for kids to meet parents.
Representatives will be stationed at 130th & Parkwood to help answer any questions and help you get to your spot if needed. Look for our red shirts. There will also be a portable restroom stationed there if needed.
Thanks and have fun!

The Dakota County Fire Chiefs Association is amping up its fire prevention and aiming to decrease the number of kitchen fires in the county with a new kitchen fire prevention trailer.
The Burnsville Fire Department will be conducting live kitchen fire demonstrations this year at the Fire muster. Kitchen fires are one of the most common types of fires in Dakota County. But the trailer demonstrations could assist in shrinking the number of kitchen fires. The trailer, which was donated by Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend refinery in Rosemount, will allow Dakota County fire officials to educate the public on how to prevent kitchen fires, the number one type of fire in the U.S. At the demonstration, fire officials will show that a cup of water poured on a small grease fire causes the fire to intensify significantly. This trailer is believed to be one of just a handful of its kind in the nation.
New Show starts every 45 minutes.
